Dr. Garratt graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1983. He served in the United States Navy before establishing his practice in San Dimas in 1989.
Dr. Garratt is board certified in the treatment and management of ocular disease. He is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the California Optometric Association. He has served on the board and as President of the Inland Empire Optometric Society. He regularly attends continuing education classes in order to stay up with the latest innovation and advances in the profession. Dr. Garratt takes pride in combining his expertise and care with the latest cutting edge technology to provide the highest quality care.
He lives in Covina with his wife Lori who is a stay at home mom of their 4 children, Karely, Niko, McKenna, and Jacob. Dr. Garratt and his wife enjoy spending their time together with their family camping, hiking, biking, snow skiing, and water skiing.
Dr. JoAnn Henwood is a graduate of Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry in Pomona, California. She is board certified in the treatment of ocular disease, including glaucoma. Dr. Henwood is a member of the Beta Sigma Kapa Optometric Honor Society and was awarded inclusion in the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges honor program.
Dr. Henwood began practicing in San Dimas after graduation from optometry school. She also works part-time at Pacific Eye Institute as Staff Optometrist where she is able to care for patients both before and after surgeries such as cataract extraction, pterygium excision and LASIK.
Dr. Henwood attended University of California Santa Barbara for her undergraduate education where she was a member of the UCSB Waterski Team. She worked as an optician for 4 years during undergraduate education and while preparing to start optometry school. It was the work she did as an optician which motivated Dr. Henwood to pursue a career in optometry.
Raised in Rancho Cucamonga, she currently lives there with her husband, David, baby girl, Harper, and puppy, Dottie. Dr. Henwood and her family enjoy camping, boating on Lake Havasu and cooking.
